Photo Journalism

Photos can be worth a thousand words, that’s why photos have a strong place in the society of Journalism. Photojournalism is the art or practice of communicating news by photographs. The primary role of the photojournalist is to be a visual storyteller.  By photographing, editing, and presenting images, they tell a story in a way that no other media can.  Some photojournalists will work for a local publication, while others will travel nationally or abroad, sometimes putting themselves in constantly changing or even dangerous situations according to http://www.journalismdegree.com/. We are assigned a Photojournalism project and I believe I want to do it by taking a photo of a homeless person with the city in the background. This would show both rich and poor and I think would make an impact on society by showing both extremes. This will show that we are all people weather rich or poor happy or sad.

Tampa Black Light Slide

In class I have to write about a certain event and I want the event to be a night to remember so I choose the Tampa Black light slide that is coming to town! The Black light Slide is an exclusive night experience that exposes everyone to UV Neon Glowing fun! Sliders attend from all over to enjoy this spectacular festive event for the night of their lives sliding down the Black light Slide with neon glow in the dark water running down it; everyone who attends will certainly be glowed! The Black light Slid will leave you glowing with wonder and keep you anxiously waiting for the next one! This only costs twenty dollars admission and it will be so worth it.

Home Owners Association is an interesting organization. HOA’s help control the community to prevent you from living next to a neon pink house and keep the neighborhood looking clean and trimmed. The Home Owners Association have lots of advantages. Unfortunately it also has a lot of disadvantages. The voice of the HOA workers need to be heard in order for things to change, to progress, thrive, and fix glitches in the system. A lot of college students have jobs in the Home Owners Association and this could affect their future knowing about customer service. Mr. Nick is an HOA employee at Fish Hawk Ranch in Lithia Florida. He would be a great candidate to answer the questions of how he thinks working for the HOA. What does he suggest to be done about the corrupt system if he believes it’s corrupt? This is an interesting system to work for. It will be interested to write about the interview in the near future.

Interview Preparation.

Preparing for an interview can be difficult. On the other hand for me it was pretty easy because I work in an HOA and I know what bothers the employees and I knew how to prepare myself to have a great interview. I started with personal information like their name, age, and how long they have been working for the HOA. Nick is the lucky candidate I picked for the interview. Nick has been working for the home owners association for a short two years but it has been a whirl wind for him those two years. I thought he would be a good candidate because he has experienced a lot of issues head on with residents and events that the home owners association has asked him to work. The challenge was to actually get him to do the interview. I had to bribe him with food in order for him to cooperate.

HOA HELL

Working in the HOA is a very interesting job to have. The HOA, AKA the Home Owners Association, consist of a cluster of gropes of people that come together to form a series of rules and regulations for the community that regulate the changes that could be made in the community to create an organized well looking space for the area. Although this seems like an exceptional way to run a community, it sometimes may be overkill. Overkill in a sense that a homeowner in order to change, move or do anything to the exterior of the house, they would have to go through a series of documents in order to do so. With all this work, sometimes the HOA would reply that they don’t approve of the project. In Cases like theses it’s very frustrating for the home owner.

The Perfect Person to Interview

The perfect person to interview would be a very controversial and outspoken person. The perfect interview in my opinion would be with Donald Trump.

If interviewed, Donald could answer a lot of questions Latinos in America are most concerned of if he does become president. Although many of Latin Americans don’t want Mr. Trump as the president of the United States of America, it is good to know what they will be dealing with in the near future.

If I had the opportunity to interview Donald Trump I would ask him all the questions that need to be answered about his opinion on terrorism and what would be his solutions.  What would they be? Just stop every immigrant from coming in the country or is there a more passive “American” way of handling the situation.

Donald trump isn’t really liked by some of the Latin community but maybe he will change his mind like he does for every other comment he has made.

Blog: Intro to me

Hello, my name is Steven Carrandi. I’m originally from Miami Florida and I am a Cuban American. Both of my parents are from Cuba, so you can say I am the American dream.

At this particular moment of my life I am registered at Hillsborough Community college in Tampa Florida, working on an associate’s degree in Mass communication. I am taking a Class Called Writing for mass Communication which requires me to write a blog about news worthy information. I am almost done with my associate’s degree and I am just finishing a few electives in the summer semester and will hopefully graduate then.

Typically as anyone reading this could probably notice is that my grammar isn’t too great especially with the language barrier but, I try to do my best.

I enjoy Public speaking and will like to speak for a broad audience in the future, weather that is behind the camera or doing presentations in front of people live.
